STILL LIFE WITH WRITING IMPLEMENTS
Signature to the left of the sheet inserted into a book: Um.[ilissi] mo Suo Ser[vitore]. Cristifano Munari. The letter M (the artists' monogram) has been engraved on the seal lying on the table.
The picture stems from the early period of Munari's work and, like other works of that period, is distinguished by its severity, the selection of objects and the means of expression used.
Provenance: donated to the Pushkin Museum by F.E,Vishnevskii (Moscow) 1972 (on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Museum's foundation.
